Would he kill anyone who called him a mud blood or if any of his followers who were supposedly pure bloods have anyone in their families that were muddles or squibs? It would be funny if any of Blacks, LeStranges or Malfoyes had a few squibs among them

Once Tom Riddle started to be Voldemort his "family" was forgotten by everyone except Dumbledore.

I think his "pureblood" status was a snide reference to Adolf Hittler, who was once said to have a Jewish Grandmother.

The Black family had that whole (haunted) family tree up on the wall.

As stated, Voldemort's family was forgotten when he changed names and came back looking twisted and deformed.

If the Blacks had squibs in their family they'd have disowned them.  The Malfoys likely would have hidden them (historically they HAD connections in the Muggle world).

I don't recall how the books handle the situation, but in the movies Voldemort acknowledges the grave of "my muggle father" in the cemetery. That could have been a judicious nod to Dumbledore and Harry's many lessons with the pensieve that weren't included in the movies.

Hm.  I'd forgotten that.  I'll need to read how he specifically addresses it as it seems like Bellatrix was rather upset when Harry mentions it in the 5th book (though Lucius seems to have known).
