What are your thoughts?

I know people enjoyed the original movie but I found it to be incredibly depressing and not my cup of tea. I'm an action movie fan, when you get down to it. But I have to admit there are some non-action movies that I really enjoy watching. For example, the Keira Knightley version of Pride and Prejudice. But it aims toward a happy ending. I didn't feel like The Others ended on an upbeat note at all.

I doubt I would be interested in the remake.
