Hey, Irene, is this the book where Andre went all-out on the research to get the uniforms on the cover absolutely accurate, & then they changed the colors on the cover at the last minute, & it nearly sent her spare?

Yup. Pretty sure. Of course the book on the reading shelf has no cover. Walks to living room: Blue shirts & Green slacks.
This might be a good fit for my next reading. I just read Tony Hillerman: Modern day Navajo Reservation.
So this book fits right in "I have drunk of these waters. I am part of this land!"

OK. I've finished reading.
It took me over a week, an and finally no internet for 4 days, but I've finished. [I also read 4 other books, but who's counting...Oh I am.]
first, let me say, that I'm not really a fan of this type of book. When I was young, I might pick up a book with horse soldiers on the cover, but no so much now.
It was OK, but not enough to keep me enthralled. Then about half way through, I read straight on, so I did get hooked.
I'm much more a fan of REBEL SPURS. I'm also not a fan of the "Indian" as the bad guy.
