When did Mount Gundabad fall?

To the orcs/goblins, that is.  And did the Dwarves ever re-take it, either after the Battle of Five Armies, or after the end of the Third Age?

During the War of the Dwarves and Orcs the Dwarves apparently retook Gundabad. But by the time of The Hobbit they had lost control again, perhaps because they abandoned it.

Gundabad is named as one of the goblins strongholds that the Dwarves sacked during that war (in Appendix A), but perhaps they didn't have the numbers to occupy it.
If some Disney-princess can do it, why not Sauron?

Quite true and probably the best way to interpret what Tolkien wrote. They did suffer about 50% casualties in the Battle of Azanulbizar if I recall correctly. Not checking the account at this time.
