"Ark II" was a short-lived live-action Saturday morning show from the 1970s. I enjoyed watching it. The format was risky because it was low-budget and didn't compare well to the primetime shows that ran in syndication. Of the various live-action kids shows that were attempted in the 1970s, this was one of my favorites. I was always frustrated that it didn't last longer.
They talk about "the monkey". He was actually a chimpanzee. I guess the cast and crew just felt comfortable calling him a monkey.
This show came out a few years after Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp., which had an all-chimpanzee cast, so I'm surprised people were still calling chimps "monkeys".
