Asian actors

They seem to have a bum rap since they are not often portrayed in movies , but mostly in martial arts films. Even in some movies , that should have Asian characters, the directors cast white people. Shouldn’t there be more movies with Asian actors? I would like to see some of Lawrence Yep and Grace Lin’s books be made into movies? I love the Dragon of Southern seas books by Yep and the book from Grace Lin called Where the Mountain meets the Sun .

I think the North American film industry continues to struggle with racist stereotypes. Asian actors are among the ethnic groups who have complained about these stereotypes for many years.
