Woot!

Hey, Irene, something fun to read while you're snowed in?

Wink

I am finally plowed out... and tuckered out, as my plowing service had all of their heavy duty snow blowers die, and I had to do the sidewalks myself. (With an electric power shovel - to the end of the power cord & then by hand - hey I'm 65 after all.) Stupid snow/ice/snow layers.

I have one of the Andre Norton collections on my Nook... and since I have at least one 2-hour 'sit & wait' time slot this weekend, it's probably in there and I can read it while I wait. Both MOON OF THREE RINGS and EXILES OF THE STARS are among my favorite Nortons, and since I cannot remember the ending of EXILES, it's time to re-read.

It's good to hear from you! I'm glad you're okay, if tired, & hope your plowing service at least gives you a big discount or rebate. I plan to put some Andre Norton on my Nook, once the spouse gets back from spring training, to show me how to use it.

_Moon Of Three Rings_ and _Exiles Of The Stars_ both have Robin Jacques covers, one of the first artists whose work I ever noticed. The cover is what first got my attention & made me so eager to read _Moon Of Three Rings_. Finding the sequel a few years later in high school was just lagniappe.

I remember reading this as a teenager. It was the copy with the naked green woman on the cover. When my mother saw it, she snatched it away from me and was going to dispose of it. I had to convince her that it wasn't pornography to be allowed to continue reading it.

You think that was wild, Rkomar, It's a good thing you didn't have the Japanese edition of Sorceress of the Witch World. There are two bare-breasted women on the cover. When I took it to Andre to be signed, she just chuckled and said "Oh My". Later Kind Folks-Paul
Frontiers of any type, physical or mental are but a challenge to our breed. Nothing can stop th questing of man, not even man. If we will it, not only the wonders of space, but the very stars are ours

But did she say, "Oh, my" with George Takei intonations? She probably would've, if she'd known about them.
