The Washington Post has an interesting article about 71-year-old Karolyn Grimes, who played 6-year-old Zuzu in the Frank Capra/Jimmy Stewart movie "It's A Wonderful Life". Her description of how she and the kids in her neighborhood literally walked a few blocks just to appear as extras in movies on a regular basis is pretty amazing. That seems nothing like how films are made now, especially given how few movies are now made in Hollywood.
The story of her life is moving. Unfortunately, she has had to endure quite a few hardships. But at least she has been able to enjoy her work and share her adventures with an admiring public.
