I'm currently researching the best method for backing up my Mac, which I haven't done since buying it earlier this year. It does have Time Machine installed, but I've recently learned that TM isn't bootable in case of a system crash and have been pointed to programs such as SuperDuper! and Carbon Copy Cloner.
On my old PC, I only ever worried about backing up my data - photos, docs, spreadsheets, etc, not the whole hard drive. Flash drives are sufficient for that, but not for a full system back up, so I'll be out shopping around for an external hard drive today.
What is your preferred method of backing up your hard drive?
