i always thought about it were the yoda THE oldest jedi in :warrior: star wars

After the events of Episode III when most of the Jedi were hunted down Yoda would have to be the oldest Jedi alive but prior to that time it would depend on a races natural life span and how strong they are with the Force I think.
The ability to speak does not make you intelligent..

As far as we know in the prequels but I agree with 8D8 that after Jedi purge, he was for sure.

Yoda is the oldest Jedi mentioned in either the films or the EU [Expanded Universe].
