California....

I love to live where I'm living, I rather contempt those industry droids who disregard the fans outside the US and the poorer fans in general. Don't get at me with all that "economically not feasible" drivel; it's never a matter of money, but of will. The entertainment industry has more than enough money anyway. Creation cashes in insane amounts for autographs alone. End of rant.

Well, Creation still does some cons elsewhere.... but bottom line, they're based in CA....and a fair number of actors, writers, etc. (like...oh... Rob, Lucy and Renee, for example) are too.... and if you have to import someone from overseas like...oh.... NZ, just to name one place, then it's infinitely cheaper than flying them to another location after that. Plus I'm told that the NZ actors often use con visits to LA as an opportunity to do Hollywood networking too.

And it's the most populous state, meaning that more fans are likely to already be there than anyplace else.

But if someone made it worth their while finacially... they'd be all over the opportunity like a cheap suit.

So what? Musicians tour a lot too, and it pays.

Well, to be honest. There's more Star Wars fans than XWP fans.

I know that that the last Chicago Con held (2002) it was a low turnout. Which happened with a lot of their regional conventions.
