Did Palpatine use battle meditation?

In the games there is a force power called battle meditation. Using it a jedi or sith can effect a battle by giving strength to the people fighting for his side. First this power may not be in the movies but it seems the emperor used the power in the final battle. Until he was beaten the rebel forces were losing.

It would have been interesting, though, if he had used it. Maybe he was and we never knew it.

Zahn's books implied that the Emperor did indeed give focus to his troops and then when he died that's why the chaos at the end of Return of the Jedi.

Maybe he did use Battle Meditation. That's how he'd gone that far with the battle. Maybe if he hadn't use it, then maybe the Rebels would've defeated the Empire sooner.
