Coors is pretty refreshing, they got that in my local.

Hammurabi must have loved beer.

Good man that Hammurabi :crown:

I'm not much of a beer drinker myself (I prefer wine) but the best beer I have tried was Samuel Adams.
Do they sell that over on the other side of the pond or no?

Is beer fattening? It seems to have that reputation. You hear of "beer-belly", never wine-belly, hooch-belly, or toddy belly.

Yes. It is fattening. Consider....I'm guessing what? About 200 calories per beer? Now...I'm just a little girly thing...4 beers and I'm done. For me that's 800 empty calories. Then you have the guy that dring a 12 pack or more at a pop. You're talking 2400 calories. Just as much as you're supposed to take in a day for food. So that 12 pack will quickly add up to a quarter keg around your mid-section. :bg:

Well, beer is no more fattening than many drinks.

200 calories isn't out of line with non-diet soda. Drink a twelvepack of anything and your not doing the body any favors.

Beer actually does have nutritional value. It's very similar (dietarily) to bread. In fact, in times of poor food preservation, the alcohol in beer made it one of the safest carbohydrates to consume.

The key, as in most things in life, is moderation.

yep, they say two beers have the calories of a typical meal - but then you haven't had a drink yet.

Quote:Man peed way out of avalanche

A Slovak man trapped in his car under an avalanche freed himself by drinking 60 bottles of beer and urinating on the snow to melt it.

Rescue teams found Richard Kral drunk and staggering along a mountain path four days after his Audi car was buried in the Slovak Tatra mountains.
