I saw this a few days ago (in 2D). It's a complete B Movie but a very enjoyable one. Nowhere near as good as the 1982 version (and probably worse than Destroyer too) but I've seen much, much worse.

Pretty much agree about everything you said. Although I wouldn't say it was any worse than the first two. Unlikeable characters, weak comedy, and no drama or logic to the action. Yawn.

I finished The Beach. The ending let it down a bit for me, it was very sudden. Almost like the author just got bored. Still an exceptional book in all other respects.

I think this should be fun. It was actually filmed in Northern Ireland last year and everyone in our office was looking out for Natalie Portman. I don't think any of us saw her ;)
