What does it take to be a moderator? - Aife4k - May 1st, 2003

Along time ago on these boards, I used to be a moderator, long before we got all these upgrades. Back when Micheal Martinez was the Head Honcho. I used to moderate the old star wars forum, but then things shut down, I packed up and moved out.

Now that things are back on track, I'd like to get involved again. What can I do?

Michael still owns these forums but I am the senior Admin in charge of them and the moderation team I also have been here a very long time back when the old Star Wars forum first started...what was your user name back then?

The way moderation staff are now chosen has changed since then and it is decided upon a number of criteria not everyone is suitable to be a moderator and as we are an ever growing concern dealing with hundreds of people worldwide with a fantastic reputation that we have built up it is a decision well investigated before anyone is considered for a moderator.

Time spent on the forum quality of posts ability to interact with people fairly, knowledge upon the forum subject and a number of other things are all looked at and then decided upon by the Admin team.

As for what you can do right now just enjoy the forums

Do you have to be a certain age to be a moderator?
